The Lagoon Resort is wonderful and the beach with all the activities included is amazing, the rooms are great and beds are comfortable. My only complaint is for the Management at the restaurant, they don’t treat you with respect and they don’t keep your requested sitting area by the ocean even if they have empty tables they want to seat you away from the beach tables because they rather give it to French guests who are not even there and haven’t made a reservation. They discriminated us and we had to technically tell them to treat us with same courtesy as they are with French guests. We ignored their unprofessional behavior and bad hospitality and grabbed a table by the ocean and we were served our dinner. This happened twice during our stay. I don’t recommend eating or not even making a reservation at the beach restaurant food is expensive and not a good quality. You will be happier to enjoy a better meal within a short drive from here are very good restaurants and nice food with amazing service to make your dinner more enjoyable.

We enjoyed the room with a balcony overlooking the giant pool and the ocean . The new open air restauarant was close to the beach and had a nice ambiance . The food was Ok , not marvellous. The gardens were lovely and the bird life prolific. The pool was warm and spacious.

Booked the senior suite for 3 friends. I was charged an extra fee for a rollaway bed but realized the couch was more than enough room. I reached out to both agoda and the hotel who were unable to reverse the charge. The suite itself was very spacious! The hotel itself is quite dated and probably needs a facelift but there are some great aspects, like a small beach area with snorkeling, kayak/sup/snorkel gear rentals, transit rooms (came in clutch), and water dispensers throughout the property. Checking in took forever and our room was not ready until a little after 3 (they provided us 3 free drinks at the bar). They did not deliver our bags and we didn't pick up the front desk phone when we tried to call so we just went ourselves and schlepted the cart over. They do not provide any airport shuttles but can call you a cab (about $40 from the airport). It is quite out of the way from Papeete so be prepared for that. The restaurant's food is pretty terrible so we just went to the grocery store about 5-10 min walk away to get prepared food.

We got a day pass and stayed there while waiting to board our boat at Marina close by. Provided drinks, lunch, bathroom and changing facilities.

I am a frequent traveller to French Polynesia and have stayed at this location (formerly Le Meridien) multiple times. The new owners have done a wonderful job of restoratioin.
