I'm very much used to getting what I pay for, and I chose this motel because I'm on a fixed income and it was the cheapest one listed. That having been said, I was pleasantly surprised. The shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I'd stay there again.

I payed in advance for this room, upon arrival the young man at the desk insisted on an additional ***deposit that has still not been returned. Normally I get this but he wanted it sent to his personal Venmo?

We stayed here for one night. Overall, the room itself was clean, tidy, and comfortable, albeit quite simple. The beds and linens were clean, the towels were fresh, and I appreciated having a fridge, microwave, TV, A/C-heater unit, shampoo, soap, and a small table in the room. Given the price I paid via Expedia, I was satisfied with the clean and comfortable accommodation. The parking area was well-lit and equipped with functioning security cameras, which put me at ease. There was also free coffee downstairs, which was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, the common areas presented a completely different picture. The hallways and stairwells were extremely dirty and looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned properly. The outdoor terrace/BBQ area was also very unappealing—there were no chairs or tables, and trash was scattered around and inside the bins. This area definitely needs more attention and regular cleaning. In the morning, I noticed a worker cleaning the parking lot, which is a big plus for the hotel. -It seems that priority areas get cleaned while, less important ones are neglected. We also had an issue with the key card. It worked at first but then stopped working completely. The washing machine didn't work either—fortunately, we didn't need it. Judging by the general state of things, it seemed like it hadn't worked for a long time, though I can't say for sure. The first my disappointment was the outdoor pool. The pool was one of the reasons I chose and booked this hotel. I wasn't aware that it would already be closed. I think guests should be clearly informed at the time of booking about any temporary or seasonal pool closures. Had I known about this beforehand, I might have considered a different hotel or just know prior how it will be. Overall, given the discounted rate I paid via Expedia, I was satisfied with the clean room, clean linens, useful amenities, and safe, well-lit parking. With better cleaning and maintenance of the common areas, as well as clearer information regarding seasonal amenities like the pool, this hotel could offer a much better experience, garner better reviews, and consequently attract more guests.
