Royal Marine Hotel

Great night's stay clean,warm, and friendly whats not to like, also fantastic breakfast. Would 100% stay again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family

We booked late for this hotel. Location was perfect for our needs. It sits right opposite the ferry terminal. It has a bar and some outside seating. The hotel has obviously been grand in its day and it looks like they ownership trying to upgrade. Looks like a big job. The two staff we saw were pleasant, and seem to fulfil many roles. Breakfast was offered but we had other plans. The dining room looked busy the days we were there. We had booked a family room, and the room we had was spacious and clean with a lovely sea view. The hotel was quiet overnight. As previously stated maybe could do with a bit of upgrading, but it suited our needs. There is a lack of staff for the size of the place , but understand the pressures on hospitality put on by Scotgov , so no wonder there are few staff. Id like to visit again to see it as upgrade progresses and it approaches its former glory.

The hotel needs a good face lift. My room was big, clean & the bed was comfortable. The hotel amenities were poor, no one to serve breakfast at not an unreasonable hr, 08.30, the bar was closed on the Thurs evening. Just a little disappointing... guess you get what you pay for!

Okay for one night, in a room without view. It had a very soft mattress, the cold water flow almost zero on both basin and shower, the hot water was full bore though. Good parking and suited needs for ferry location. Sadly no evening meL available or bar

Very dated and desperately in need of a refurb. Room was cold. If i had time, I would have checked in somewhere else. Dissapointing. Staff were very nice and friendly.
