That was amazing experience to spend a few days here. Phong Nha and Little Leaf Homestay is so beautiful. That was great we spent few day at the river lived in the container. The place is breathtaking. U woke up and see river and the hills with jungle. It’s unforgettable moment. Phuong (the owner) is so nice and kind man. You can ask him about anything and he is so helpful. He made this place by himself and it fucking amazing job. And he is the best speaker in English from hole Vietnam! So if u want to spend great time in the jungle is the best place to stay. I think that in the future I will come for longer and pick this place to stay of course.

the owner is very nice and has outstanding communication skills. very fast replies with any questions and is very helpful in helping to book any tours you may require. Improvement is needed in letting guests know what is included (ie. breakfast, tour options, etc). The staff who manages the homestay do not speak English at all and were often not visible. It was challenging to get the things you need. We felt a bit like we were in an abandoned rental housing community. It was a 5-minute charades, show and tell ordeal trying to get an extra bath towel. We ended up with two hand towels instead. In terms of the unit, it is a shipping container. We knew this going in, and that is what it felt like. There was an a/c unit in the room, but it did nothing to dry out the room or cool it down. We, and our clothes, were basically damp the whole time. Our unit had it's own w/c, but the shower stall had a slow drain, so it was a little unpleasant standing in an inch of soap scum while you are trying to get clean. BTW, bring your own bar of soap. None was provided, however, there were a zillion toothbrushes. At the end of the day, it was fine. I would not recommend staying for more than 2 nights unless you are a "backpacking" type of traveler.
