We reserved a room for a mid week three night stay to visit family in town. If it wasn't for the proximity to our family, we would have left. What we were sold on was a beautiful resort that was fun and close to the beach. What we got was a inhospitable resort staff and a run down motel. We saw pictures of the rooms and they had televisions so naturally we assumed they were available. We were told that every television was under maintenance. While they do have WIFI, they do not have one smart television so even though you have a tv in the room, it is inoperable. The rooms are dimly lit and needed detail cleaning. no water was provided in the room. No coffee or coffee pot or even a hot water heater was available. If you wanted that, you had to go to the front desk and ask for a cup of hot water. The CR was modern and seemed nice until you took a shower. The drain was slow draining and backed up quickly. We also have pictures of cock roaches in the CR. Oh yeah, this RESORT does not provide any soap or shampoo so make sure you bring your own stuff. The breakfast was adequate. It says that there is a restaurant on the grounds. That is not true. They have a snack bar by the pool and have menus for food but we were told that if we ordered they would have to call the chef to cook it and he was off premises and it could be a lengthy wait. The pool itself was not maintained well. It was white and cloudy with an array of bugs and slimy to the touch on the bottom. Public transportation will not take you all the way to the resort due to the condition of the road leading to it. I guess the positives would be the proximity to El Salvador and the adequate breakfast and some of the landscaping was nice. I wish I would have heeded the warnings in the other reviews. This place needs new ownership badly.

Our experience there was overall bad. When we arrived to check-in, the staff did not guide us to our rooms so we had to ask around to get there. When we got to the room number given to us, the room had no spare key, which means we could not lock the door when all of us went out of the room. The staff reasoned out not being able to have the key duplicated because their previous guest brought the key with them and the staff “were busy and didn’t have time to duplicate”. The light outside the room did not function, which meant that they did not check if anything needs fixing since they were expecting a guest. It was obvious they did not prepare well enough, but we wanted to rest so we didn’t really mind. Not until it was almost time for dinner, and they handed us a menu. We ordered food and waited for our order to arrive for almost an hour only to find out that they did not process or cook the order! They even said only limited options were available but in the end, we didn’t get what we ordered. Thankfully, there was still grab delivery available and we were able to order food for dinner. Imagine if we had no other option and the location was even away from the highway? We would’ve starved. Honestly so disappointed. The only thing that saved the experience was the landscape which was beautiful and spacious, and the pool which had no curfew. Other than that, they should improve their customer service and facilities.

The room was clean enough but the water in the shower was just dripping. It took time when we had to shower after swimming. Food was unprepared, booked a room with breakfast and complementary coffee, water but the staff didn't know about it. The swimming pool was good though and they allowed us to swim late night.
