The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for families. The location offered privacy with a quiet beach, making it a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, the food was poor, choices limited, and service disappointing. Overall, I was satisfied, but improvements in dining and service are needed.

My recent stay at Peridot was a very pleasant experience overall, largely due to the exceptional dedication and professionalism of the staff. While the variety of food offered was somewhat limited, the F&B team clearly took great pride in every dish they served. The food was thoughtfully prepared, well-seasoned, and catered effectively to the diverse tastes of a multiracial clientele. The Asian selections, in particular, were absolutely delicious. A special mention must go to Encik Nizam, the F&B Manager, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the team’s performance. The staff were consistently attentive, diligent, and accommodating, always ready to assist with the many different requests and needs of guests. Equal recognition should be given to Encik Fazli and his team. It was evident that the resort was operating with a lean workforce, yet this never seemed to affect the quality of service. The management and staff were constantly present, ensuring that guests were well looked after and that any concerns were promptly addressed. Their commitment and work ethic were truly commendable. As for the resort itself, separate from the excellent staff, the location is beautiful and the cleanliness standards are good, meeting what one would generally expect of a 3- to 4-star property. However, the physical structure of the resort despite its upgrade still show its age and would benefit significantly from more refurbishment. One particularly noticeable area is the flooring in the restaurant, main lobby, and the walkways leading to the pool area. These surfaces are extremely worn and visibly in need of upgrading. Unfortunately, they detract from the overall appearance of the resort and create more of a 3-star impression rather than the premium experience the pricing suggests. The outdoor umbrellas also appear dated and would benefit from replacement. In addition, the construction or restoration residue outside some of the rooms was rather unsightly and diminished the overall aesthetic appeal. In summary, this is a lovely resort in a wonderful location, made memorable by its outstanding staff and management team. However, while the service certainly justifies a premium reputation, the current condition of the physical infrastructure does not quite correlate with the price being charged. With some investment in refurbishment and upgrades, this resort could truly match the high standards set by its people.
