Islington Barracks Hotel

We arrived and the staff informed us there was a cabaret show on downstairs that night. This was not clearly communicated at booking. Also there was a noisy table of guests right under our window when we arrived at 4:30pm. My wife was not feeling well and we decided to stay elsewhere for the evening, we informed the staff that we wanted to cancel and they told us to deal with Agoda for the cancellation and refund request. We provided the documents and information Agoda requested and they shared those with the hotel and the hotel only told us we couldn’t cancel the booking for a refund that late. We continue to try and get a refund as the hotel was not clearly advertised as a party hostel. If you want to stay out late or don’t value your sleep then this place would be fine. For everyone else, For a slightly higher price I would recommend booking elsewhere at a proper hotel. Be aware that the neighbourhood is quite rough so do leave any valuables in your car.
