The Best View Cheap Hotels
The best part about this hotel is definitely the beautiful view, overlooking the hills of Sembalun. I stayed in Room No. 2—it’s simple, but comfortable. There’s no fan, but that’s not an issue since Sembalun is naturally cool. Relaxing outside the room in the evening was very enjoyable and peaceful. The bathroom comes with a water heater, so no worries about that. The only downside is a slight unpleasant smell in the room. However, I still had a very comfortable and restful sleep.

The lodging is more rustic than I expected, even though it’s a superior room. What you getting here is the view and a decent breakfast. I can’t give a higher review because the resident manager was sleazy. He tried to jack up prices for any services or tours. He charged me 20,000 per kilo for laundry, which is outrageous. I thought he meant 20,000 for my entire laundry bag which is what I’ve been paying elsewhere. Don’t purchase anything through the resident manager, but go through the owner on WhatsApp on Google Google. Also, the coffee shop down the hill is friendly and can help point you to some local services which are much more reasonable.
