This place is very good value for money, and is perfectly located for a short journey into Cambridge with convenient transport links. The rooms are functional and comfortable and with en-suite. This is a good place to book for those on a budget looking to visit Cambridge

Upon arrival it was clear the proprietor had no idea I had made a booking in advance. He appeared clueless as to which room to allocate me. The room I was offered stunk of stale nicotine, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in weeks, there were cigarette Stubbs on the outside window ledge, rubbish strewn all over the rear garden area. The room lock didn't work and the door was neither lockable or secure. It would have been easy for anyone to have kicked the door open from the outside. I left after just 1 hour and drove home, frankly disgusted, disillusioned and appaled at the management. Considering this is supposed to be a restaurant, if the inside/outside of the building is anything to go by food hygienists may have a field time here. Not recommended.

Do not book with Agoda, you cannot communicate with them and the property owner took no responsibility for my complaint even claiming he does not deal with Agoda, but someone took my money and would not admit to it I or return it

There was blood on the tv and up the walls , the carpet was soaking wet and the room was full of flies , the rooms are at the back by the skips for the restaurant, a rat wouldn’t live it , it’s really that bad , I’ve been bit all over by bed bugs , never stay here

I always wondered what it would of been like to be in the movie "trainspotting ". Well now I feel like I have had a taste for it having stayed in this poor excuse for a b and b. Took half an hour to find anyone to check in. Had to call a number after trying two others that didnt work. Filthy almost everywhere. Car park was chaos and shared with a garage/breakers yard. Once in the room I thought id check the reviews and after reading several complaining of bed begs I was surprised to wake up with ants everywhere. My room was a converted shed of sorts which had no sound insulation from the single carriageway right outside my door. It was pretty rank and I pity anyone that turns up with children for the night. It is 100% not for anyone who isn't a hardened traveller or desperate. I had to tape the shower head up to use it but couldn't even stand in it because the thermostat was broke and about a million degrees. I had a lovely mouldy pot noodle staring at me from the bin in the room. The included breakfast was a few cereals in a tiny kitchen I wouldn't prepare food for a hound in. How these hustlers are getting this place past health and safety or hygine is beyond me. Didn't even try and find how to get the free WiFi as I'd wager that doesn't exist. TV worked lovely though, I got to watch the olympic curling with the ants for a bit so there was that.
