Cheap by NY standards. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a night, including a mini fridge (but no microwave). I would have loved my stay if not for the smoky smell in the hotel and the first room they assigned me. I asked to change rooms, and they immediately gave me a different one that they knew would be "better," so this might be an ongoing problem. Staff explained that the hotel is non-smoking, but some guests do it anyway. The new room had a really strong (and loud) exhaust fan, which I turned on. There's still a faint smell at night, seemingly coming from the corridor. If you're not sensitive to smell, this is a good, new, and cheap hotel in NY. The surroundings are slightly rough, but you're also close to a subway station. Just don't wander too far at night.

Very nice room with kitchen area and closet
It looked like a small apartment instead of a a room . Only stayed for one night but would stay again if I needed to. The neighborhood it’s in is the only reason I won’t give 5 stars. Lot of shifty looking people on the street
