The Green Valley Resort

Loved my stay at this resort! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were polite, friendly, and very welcoming. It’s conveniently located just 100 meters from the Surkanda Devi trek entrance, making it perfect for travelers. Plus, there’s ample parking space, which adds to the overall convenience.

The location of the hotel is convenient, as it is within walking distance of the Surkanda Devi Temple. Parking is available within the hotel premises, although the approach from the main road is quite steep. The rooms offer a good view; however, guests have to climb around 20 steps from the parking area to reach the first row of rooms. The same difficulty is faced while accessing the common dining area from the rooms. Frankly, the management needs to make considerable improvements to make the place comfortable for guests. Once the sun rises, it becomes nearly impossible to stay inside the room, as direct sunlight through the glass panels makes the room extremely hot. There are frequent power outages, particularly in the morning, due to which the geyser often does not function. The water pressure in the bathroom is also extremely low, and one can manage a bath only by storing water in a bucket. Another concern is that the reception is not operational round the clock, making it difficult to contact anyone in case of an emergency. Overall, I do not find anything remotely connected with this accommodation that justifies categorising it as a “resort.”

We stayed for a night. Room and bed was not clean. It was too cold inside the room because gaps in window slider. Food was also not good. As they took 800/- for breakfast but provided poor breakfast. They need to improve everything instead of prices only.
