Tangkoko Jungle Homestay

The room was slightly unclean and not particularly comfortable. We had some communication issues with the host - when we arrived he seemed to suggest they didn't do food, but when we returned from our walk it turned out they did, but you need to book in advance. We did try the food next day but it was extremely overcooked chicken. We met other tourists who raved about the food where they stayed, so were very disappointed. The dining area has a strong smell of animals, with birds and cats in cages in the room next door and a very scabby-looking dog wandering around. We did manage to organise transport to and from the accommodation as well as a couple of tours of the nature reserve, which were very good.

Clean, spacious room. Good food. The hosts are proactive and will help you with your forest walks.

Communication is a bit difficult.

Kamar bersih, luas, dan Wi-Fi bagus. Sayangnya, komunikasi terkait pembayaran guide kurang tertata. Kami sudah membayar jasa guide kepada istri pemilik karena guide/suaminya saat itu tidak ada. Namun setelah check-out dan sudah sampai di Manado, kami diberitahu bahwa pembayaran guide belum dilakukan. Kami langsung menghubungi guide dan menjelaskan bahwa kami sudah membayar. Saran kedepannya komunikasi internal bisa lebih diperbaiki agar tidak terjadi kesalahpahaman seperti ini lagi.
