Premier Inn Chorley North

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I booked and paid for my stay in advance through Agoda. However, when I checked in, I was told that they could not verify my payment and that I had to pay again. I was given a receipt and told to request a refund through the platform I had originally booked with. I felt that something was not quite right, but there were other guests waiting behind me, so I followed the staff member's instructions and paid again. Since I had never experienced anything like this before, I returned about 30 minutes later with the receipt and politely asked them to check the payment situation once more. The staff member who had checked me in reacted in an extremely irritated manner. She grabbed the receipt I was holding and shook it up and down in front of me more than five times, repeatedly telling me to use the receipt to get a refund from Agoda. As unbelievable as this may sound, this actually happened, and it should be possible to verify it through the hotel's CCTV footage. I was extremely upset by the way I was treated, but I did not want to ruin the rest of my trip, so I chose not to argue further. I contacted Agoda, explained the situation, and requested a refund. However, it has now been a week since this happened, and I still have not received my refund. For reference, the staff member who handled my check-in and grabbed and shook the receipt from my hand was named *** or ***. I would estimate that she was in her 60s. I would also like to make it clear that the other staff members I interacted with were very helpful, cooperative, and friendly. My complaint is specifically about this incident and the staff member involved.
