PANTHASHALA Dooars

Nice place to stay for weekend. Even after multiple request, the restaurant staffs(event the manager had no answer) share no menu or price in advance. Only during the checkout you come to know the exhorbitant price they are charging from you. The meal was good but no transparency of pricing. You have to eat single thali or menu that is available for that day.

The hotel is good, but the fooding that was included in my offer was not available, as they said, "they did not have that contract with agoda and we would have to pay for the food"

I will not adversely comment on the quality of accommodation, cleanliness, parking availability and staff behaviour. They were all up to the mark. Coming to Wi-fi, as addressed by Agoda as "Free Wi-fi", it was not available. Entertainment system included at DTH connection with 32" LED screen which was not operative till late evening. Breakfast was complimentary but options were limited to bare minimum with breakfast timing mostly starting after 09:45 Hrs. Assistance for Wildlife Safari was not available. The property mostly is for occupants who have purchased Studio apartment under the name of "Panthaniwas Dooars" while a few rooms have been allotted as "PanthaShala Dooars" hence you may develop a feeling of a second class citizen especially when with family and close friends. Most importantly, the location is 6 Km away from Murti river (dont go by Google earth - there is no road access), 1.5 Kms from Main road and therefore, be ready to keep extra budget for fuel since multiple visits to Murti Safari Booking will be required.
