Nestled along the banks of Mae Nam Ping (the Ping River), Ruen Thai Ban Rim Nam is boutique hotel that offers peace and quiet. Away from the city center of Kampaeng Phet, the property is simple, yet comfortable. The grounds are adorned with plants and flowers and there are tables and chairs along the river – perfect for enjoying morning coffee. The “check in desk” is a large wooden table under a sala, yet check in only takes 2 minutes. We had three of us and the hotel offers varying room choices. We had a room with a queen and a twin bed – perfect for our stay. The mattresses were very comfortable. The bathroom is a typical smallish Thai style, but certainly met our needs. Water, coffee, and snack cakes are offered for the duration of stay and the room features a dorm-sized refrigerator. A common-use kitchen is also available for all guests. There is no restaurant or room service, so plan ahead if you like a late-night snack or something in the morning to start your day. Reserving the room was simple through Agoda, who then passed the reservation through sister company, Booking. Cancellation 24 hours with no penalty was available. When passing through Kamphaeng Phet, or visiting family and friends like we were, Ruen Thai Ban Rim Nam makes for a great, comfortable stay at a budget-traveler price. I highly recommend this property and would certainly stay there again.

A very beautiful location a bit outside of the cityt
I really like it to stay at RTBRN. It's a bit outside of the city ... Summery: A really nice place & resort with some small drawbacks. I will stay here again - thank you 🙏 Positive: + quiet location (5km outside of the center) + property condition + nice garden + river view + very friendly, kind & helpfully staff + ... Negative: - the rooms are very sound proved (can hear everything of the neighbor room) - the towels and the bedsheets are made of thin fabrics and doesn't have hotel quality.
