I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Hôtel Restaurant l'Auberge des Salles in Les Salles-sur-Verdon. It's safe to say that this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and I feel compelled to share my negative feedback. The only redeeming feature of this establishment was its location, which was pretty good. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. The room I was assigned was far from satisfactory. It was not just small; it was incredibly cramped and dated. The lack of space and the overall outdated appearance left much to be desired. The Wi-Fi service was abysmal, with slow and unreliable connectivity, making it practically unusable. However, the absolute low point of my stay was the encounter with the staff. I had purchased a bottle of wine from a nearby winery and wanted to enjoy it with my friends on the terrace of the hotel. To my shock and dismay, the staff informed us that we couldn't drink our own wine on the terrace. Instead, they insisted that we had to buy their wine if we wanted to enjoy it in that area. This policy seemed utterly unreasonable and left a sour taste in our mouths. It's a shame that the staff prioritized squeezing extra money out of guests over providing a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Hôtel Restaurant l'Auberge des Salles to anyone. The lackluster room, dreadful Wi-Fi, and the staff's money-focused approach made this an utterly disappointing and regrettable stay. It's clear that the staff's priorities are not aligned with the guests' comfort or satisfaction, and I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodation in Les Salles-sur-Verdon.
