Park Residency Kodungallur

I booked this property through Agoda for 4 members of my family as we were in Kodungallur to visit the Devi temple. During check-in, the staff informed me that they received the booking for one member only. They also informed that this happened frequently for guests who book through Agoda. I wanted to discuss this with their manager and the staff informed that he is on a shift break and will not take the call now. They also informed that ***who is the group cluster channel manager for the Park Residency group has instructed them not to share his contact number with the guests and those who book through Agoda needs to sort out all the booking related issues through Agoda only and they were not concerned about the situation of the guests! This is not hospitality as I am also a hospitality professional. This attitude is after receiving the payment upfront! I am sure that OTAs like Agoda pays the agreed room rent to the hotels though they receive it in advance while the guests pay during the booking. I have specifically mentioned the staff name as he refused to speak to me while the FO staff tried to connect. I paid additional amount for the members and checked in as it was evening hours and We were driving for about 4 hours. Room was clean , housekeeper was good and helpful. But the room is good enough to occupy only 2 person comfortably. The attitude of the management staff was / arrogant as I understood from the approach of the front desk staff and this will surely impact the business in the long run.

There seemed to be some maintenance work going on, which caused a bad odour throughout the premises. The lifts had a noticeable chemical smell. Apart from that, everything else was very good. I usually stay here whenever I visit the Kodungallur Temple.

It was very small room for 2 with a Kid, the same Park at Thrissur offered a large room, so spacious. Except this concern everything is so perfect!

I had a good experience for park residency, clean and good room, only the problem is. It is on middle of crowded town.
