It was a unique experience to stay in a heritage Victorian hotel that speaks of a past era of British architecture, affluence, grandeur & pride. This historic landmark hotel still oozes charm, warmth & cosiness, thanks to the brilliant & unrelenting efforts of young entrepreneur Adi Singh & his crew especially his chef Kash Patel (not the FBI chap). As you see from the image provided above ie the Bar, it’s serves veritable local brews on tap too. The harshness of July 2026’s winter was well mitigated, thanks to the restorative modern amenities provided eg lightings, hot water system, heaters & yes ….the life saving electric blankets. To boot, the price for staying here was too reasonable to believe. Kudos to Adi, Kash et al.

Lovely old building

Stayed for one night. Very good value for money. Basic room but clean and comfortable and all we needed. Beautiful historic building. Just be aware if arriving late there is a number to call re check in- which was a problem for us as travelling overseas with only whatsapp- esim access. Luckily some guests popping out to dinner helped us, so be sure to plan ahead if in the same situation.
