Beach House Varkala by Palmyra

We stayed here for two nights, the location is great (5-min drive to the main varkala cliff area) & views are awesome. The hotel sits on a beach & it has an almost private beach feel. But since it was monsoon there were some electricity issues & water leakage issues in our cabin. The staff didn’t address it promptly and we were left without electricity for the entire night. They didn’t offer a refund either for our inconvenience. The staff seems to be lacking in effort & I wish they were more serious about their job.

It's a great stay if you are looking for something 10 steps away from a beach. This is the lesser populated part of the beach, so it felt great to unwind and enjoy the waves. The staff is absolutely amazing and are very helpful if any issues come up! However, I recommend not booking the Heritage room. While it is the cheapest, it is right next to a local restaurant that blares music at night, so if you're a light sleeper, may not be the best option. Additionally, if you drive a big car, it may be a squeeze to get to the hotel. While it is completely possible and Innovas have gotten in, it is just something that threw me off.

Highly Recommended very well maintained, peaceful property . They can provide more facility with food and basic amenities like 2 towel etc . We stayed for 2 days they might have offer daily cleaning of room instead of waiting for us to leave.

The location QR code from Agoda confirmation mail didn't take us to the property location. Hence had to walk about 1 km with luggage as the auto dropped is at the location as per QR. Room No. 106 lock was non functional during our stay. Remote control for the airconditioner wasn't functional. There was not even a single.chair to sit. Only place to sit was the bed. No wardrobe or hangers to hang the clothes in the room and bathroom.. There was no place to keep toiletries in bathroom. Ants filled.sugar sachets were there as part of tea preparation materials.

The room was nice and good with beautiful outdoor space and very near to the beach. Would recommend highly.
