Very pretty place. Just a bit far out of town for bussiness travellers. But definitely perfect for group bookings

Before booking this hotel, I read a couple of reviews; often it is mentioned that it is a nice place but that the host or hotel manager is difficult to deal with. I completely agree with my past reviewers. The place is a bit hidden. We had to open gates, then we drove a couple of kilometers, then we opened another gate. Then we drove a couple of kilometers again and after some 20 minutes we got to the hotel from the main road. We were well received by their Chef (Johannes). The host was not present. There was a family visiting that was coughing literally all the time. Given that the restaurant and lobby area is small, that should be avoided by either not accepting sick guest or at least separating them from other guests. I booked the accommodation with Agoda, fully prepaid. I booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids. Upon checkout I was asked to pay an additional amount for accommodation as I, apparently, understated by children's ages when I booked. I was caught by surprise given that I am very diligent when I book hotels but given that the hotel has no WIFI (in theory it has but it does not work) I could not review my Agoda booking at this moment. So, I paid the extra with the idea to check my booking as soon as I have access to the internet, believing that if I was correct, the hotel would correct their mistake and refund. My reservation details were 100% correct. I contacted the hotel 3 days after checkout, 2nd of August and again on 7th of August in order to receive a refund. I have not received a response! Then I sent 16! emails back and forward with Agoda asking for a refund. My last response from Agoda was that every hotel can manage its own policies and that they cannot do anything. I will go against Agoda, too but that is another story. Dear Mountain Peak Game Lodge host: Your behavior is completely unacceptable. Your actions and lack of actions disqualify you from being a host in the tourism industry. I have travelled for decades but what you have done here is outright stealing from your client. @All travelers: it is, in theory, a nice place but be very careful with this host/manager. No place is worth it if the hotel owner or manager treats you like that.

the views were great the food even better and the staff excepcional.
