Nomada Republic Hotel El valle

The hotel is housed in charming containers, and the view is stunning. Although the second day brought a fierce storm, the wind gusts and rain were so intense that it felt like the entire house was swaying. The breakfast is lovely.

I would not book this place again… multiple issues including the room smells like septic chemicals that stung my eyes literally. Had to keep the window open all night to try to help this. Also smoke detector is clearly not functional with battery door left open (without battery). It’s so windy you can’t really go outside, so you’re stuck in smelly, small container rooms with poor quality wifi.

The location is what makes this hotel special, and it’s a completely different climate than in the village below. The drive to the hotel is very steep, but can be done with a standard car. The rooms are very small, and it was a challenge to have two people plus luggage in the room. Unfortunately the bed isn’t high enough to store luggage underneath. The man at reception spoke very little English, but had a form in English we filled out including if we wanted daily housekeeping, but no one ever cleaned our room. Breakfast was ok. The restaurant is nice but expensive for Panama, and our included breakfast only included one cup of coffee OR juice and when we requested toast for our runny eggs, we were charged $2. The air conditioning worked very well.

Una vista hermosa, buen clima, el servicio excelente, todo muy limpio, tuvimos un tiempo muy relajante y de conexión con la naturaleza :)
