Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji

We recently stayed at the Shangri-La Yanuca Island on the all inclusive package, and it made for such a relaxing experience. A major highlight for us was the breakfast at the Golden Cowrie. It is consistently a standout and the perfect way to start the day. While the food itself is excellent, be prepared for Fiji time; service can be a little slow, and we did find ourselves having to remind the staff about our food and drinks quite often. What truly made our stay were the wonderful people. Napoleon at the reception is absolutely fantastic and gave us such a warm, genuine welcome that set the tone for the whole trip. We also have to give a huge shout out to Biu and Jones, the golf cart drivers, who were always so friendly and helpful when getting us around the resort. A special mention must go to Jobbie, who makes incredible daiquiris. He was one of the only wait staff members who truly deserves a 5 star rating for his service. Mary at the beach bar was another absolute standout who made our time by the water even better. Overall, despite the relaxed pace of service, the quality of the food and the exceptional hospitality from these specific team members made this a memorable holiday. We will definitely be back!
