Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage

Arrived about 2pm, requested west facing room, none available but will notify me when one becomes available. Check back at 3pm, then 4pm, still nothing. No west facing rooms became available 2pm - 4pm. Standard "we're busy, it's a holiday". Finally check-in call 4:15 or so. PThey provide plenty of time to lose money before check-in.

My wife and I spent 2 days in the resort. Overall it is a positive experience. The room was big and very clean. The pool is great. We don't gamble so probably not the best hotel choice. The hotel is about 25-35 minutes away from Palm Springs so quite ride. It is also close to the highway and a main road. While you can't hear the traffic from the rooms, you can hear it in the pool area

It was our first time visiting Palm Springs. We weren’t quite sure how far the hotel was from downtown, so we ended up having to drive about 25 minutes to get there. It wasn’t a big issue, but if you’re looking to stay in the heart of downtown, there are other options. The hotel was very clean, and the room had plenty of space for the three of us. Since it was a hot day, my son and I spent some time at the pool and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The only thing that concerned us was that a duck was swimming in the pool. It was cute, but we weren’t sure how hygienic that was. We had dinner at Water Café and The Steakhouse. At Water Café, the service was quite slow—they took a long time to take our order, and the food took even longer to arrive. We had to ask for someone to take our order and check on our food because no one came on their own. Although the food itself was delicious, the slow service was disappointing. On the other hand, our experience at The Steakhouse was fantastic. The filet was absolutely delicious, and the service was attentive and professional, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience.

The deluxe king rooms are very comfortable. The huge bath with separate shower are exceptional. Great views of sunsets (or sunrises) from upper floors. Limited TV channels, no micro. Casino budget food options are limited or none. No on-site convenience store. But lot's of mid-range dining options.

Agoda's rate was really low, under $200, so splurged on a one-nighter for no special reason. Rooms are really clean and comfortable, great huge bathtub and separate shower, but no micro and no Lakers or Dodgers on TV. They want you to lose money in the casino, which I did.
