Hamtramck Hostel

Travis and the other young lady (i think she was the property manager) were both very kind souls. I felt at home and welcome from the moment i entered the building. Staying there was so relaxing that i almost forgot to get out and enjoy Detroit. A huge plus for us was that it was situated in a very safe and welcoming community also. We will be staying here again real soon.

Really good staff, in a really interesting, multi-cultural/Muslim neighborhood, with many shops, restaurants, and late-night coffee. There is a Muslim center & prayer service, at sunset, a few doors, down the block. They use a microphone that can resonate, around the entire neighborhood, in early August. It is a prayer song, at each August sunset, that is both, somber & hopeful. A really vibrant, friendly neighborhood of Detroit.
