베어풋 만타 아일랜드 리조트

I had a bit of a mixup with my booking company, ogoda. I booked a yanuyanu Bure, but received the cheapest one, an Adi tent. I was not happy. Not Barefoots fault, the island was booked solid and they were not able to change my Bure. After waiting 10 months for this special trip, I was extremely disappointed. At this point, 9 days have passed and agoda has still not refunded me the difference. The Adi tents are a bit run down, dusty, grimy and the bathroom sink needed cleaned before I used it. I would not go back here.

Resort has great beaches and free snorkel gear hire to explore the reefs, so many fish and a huge variety of coral! $89 manta snorkel is a bit steep for $5 worth of gas and being surrounded by so many people. Would recommend although I preferred Barefoot Kuata which was slightly smaller and had a more intimate feel to it.

We didn't expect highly of the meals but they did exceed our expectation. They are mostly buffet style meals but on some days they offer three course dinner. The manta snorkel is a must try if you have the chance. The guide makes sure you have the chance to swim with manta in a way that won't disturb the gentle giant. We also loved the talks at the marine center - the biologist was very passionate and provides a lot of interesting information about marine life and conservation. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed their singing - specially Vinaka to Barry who is always smiling and facilitating different activities. The reef scenery here around the beaches is one of the best we have seen - simply breathtaking. Big credits to the conversation team for preserving this amazing underwater scenery. Make sure you catch a few baby sharks at the beaches. Only downside is the shower is pretty rough with poor water pressure and hardly any warm water. It was a bit challenging when it gets windy after sunset. We also did not have any housekeeping during our 3 day stay.

We had an amazing time at barefoot Manta, and that is largely due to the staff in the dining room, as well as the very well run dive shop. The reef near the island is just stunning and full of life which really made our trip so fun. However you have to buy a meal plan that isn’t cheap and is not good for vegetarians. You basically get vegetables and some rice for every meal. We ended up requesting specific food items for our meal like sandwiches and grilled cheese to have something more substantial. It’s a bit of a rustic place and takes some getting used to though the rooms and bathrooms are really nice. Lots of mosquitos so come well prepared. Despite the food issues, we will be back!

We stayed at barefoot manta for three nights and had a cute Adi Queen Bure. online the picture was advertised being able to open and zip it up but once we got there it was zip tied shut and we could not zipper open the front so we had to have someone come and undo that for us which I thought was weird why they would tie it shut or not tell us ahead if there was an issue because thats why i booked that room for glamping experience. the food was very very good every meal we had was delicious and the staff were beyond kind to us it was extremely windy in the whole time we were there so unfortunately we didn't get to snorkel as much as we wanted to in this snorkeling that was right outside they're Lagoon was all dead I was disappointed to find out I had to pay extra to go on snorkeling on the things that they advertise as really nice so I didn't want to pay extra for the other snorkeling there was kayaks and stand up paddle boards to use for free so that was really nice extremely pretty Happy Hour Bar that looked over the Lagoon as well as a bonfire night and a CG night. No Wi-Fi in the rooms but it worked really well in the perception area as well as the Happy Hour Bar.
