After reading many bad reviews we were so relieved! A really beautiful rest! Yes the outdoor area needs a bit of tlc here and there, and if I was going to comment negatively on anything it would be the lack of patio furniture. But the accommodation itself was lovely, very well designed and clean. We would definitely stay again!

Pleasantly surprised!

was late on arrival and gave wrong phone number when I booked. and the receptionist waited for me to arrive. really grateful lovely location and great cabin will defo stay again

Lovely weekend away
We had a lovely stay at Woodlakes. The site was exceptionally clean and really well laid out, with a beautiful setting right on the water. They also have alpacas on site, which was a lovely touch. There are two restaurants on site, and one in particular had an exceptional menu. We enjoyed some amazing meals over the three days. Every single member of staff we came across was attentive, welcoming and super friendly, with a special mention to the team at Jack’s, who were absolutely fantastic. The only downside for us was that there wasn’t a huge amount for younger children to do, so I think there could be more facilities as there’s an enchanted forest advertised but this was closed- this appears to have been close for some time( seeing other people’s reviews). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful setting, cleanliness, fantastic food, friendly staff and little extras like the alpacas made it a great experience, and we would definitely consider returning.
