Hotel Palatin

Decenttly prized nice room, great location

Room was behind elevator, tiny, high desk and low bed, no view from a mini window. Other rooms aloneness 1sr floor under roof, so only roof windows everywhere. Double room expensive for that it gives almost no advantage, single room o.k. for price. Breakfast quite limited, but o.k. Position excellent, centre of that mini town, under castle. Staff o.k. Altogether for the money under 30 euros for single room , good. For a double room cost double or more and gives no advantage... At the end, good for one evening and overnight stay.

Absolutely loved it. Close to the main attraction- Oravsky zamok, very clean, cozy (I am loving those wood beams with some ornaments carved on them), Wi Fi works fine, staff is so very good and speaks English. Have ro mention breakfast served- they are insanely big and delicious. I had a concern about lack of grocery stores around (for dinner). Not a problem, the food at the hotels restaurant is very affordable in price and meals are large (I forgot when I saw sizes like that). Noticed only 1 strange thing which I am not gonna hold against the place and it didn't affect my rating- the study desk in the room is of a giant size, the desk surface was right below my chin when sitting. I reckon it used (meant) to be a tallboy, and got converted somehow. Anyways, I wasn't doing any work/study, so not affected by this. I would highly recommend the place! Best place I've stayed in Slovakia.
