La Chambre bleue

Beautiful hotel and would highly recommend. The staff were super helpful and the spaces large, full of character and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and the team went above and beyond to accommodate my dairy intolerance.

I stayed at La Chambre Bleue for two nights, and overall it was a mixed experience. The hotel has a beautiful traditional Old Town design, and the location in the heart of the Medina is perfect for exploring cafés, local restaurants, and the market on foot. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. However, the rooms were fairly basic and could have been cleaner. I understand it’s a historic property, but the walls had many stains, and I found a dead cockroach in the room. There is no proper air conditioning—only an evaporative cooler—which made the room feel humid rather than cool. The terrace door also couldn’t be properly closed or locked, which reduced the sense of security. Another thing to keep in mind is that taxis cannot reach the hotel, so you’ll need to walk about 200–300 meters with your luggage, and finding a taxi there isn’t always easy. Overall, La Chambre Bleue is a charming hotel with a unique atmosphere, but the limited facilities and a few maintenance issues made the stay less comfortable than expected.

The host were very nice and accommodating. Esia one of the staff was so lovely. They accommodated food allergies, went out of their way to make breakfast great for us. They organised paid pickup taxi. The driver was pleasant. Initially there was issue with our room, but it was later resolved. I would stay again.
