The hotel had a good spread of items for breakfast and it is known for ensuring good quality at three stars in the region. It is part of a chain that has many branches in Uzbekistan and a few in other Central Asian countries. Note that the tourist tax is not included in the rate that you pay at Agoda, even if they say that it is included.

I found this hotel pleasant, they upgraded me from a standard to superior room which was big and clean with air con. Breakfast had plenty of healthy options and the staff tried their best to make me feel welcome. English is limited but you can easily get by with Google translate. The hotel is within walking distance of all attractions.

The young clerk at the front desk tries hard to be helpful by using a translating device but it can get annoying. I asked him, "How old are you?" and he looked like I was speaking Martian or something. As an English teacher, I find this unacceptable in a first rate hotel. The breakfast was very good, the room was very nice and even the young sports group didn't ruin our stay. Would gladly go back!

Staying in an old Russian hotel (though fully renovated) is an experience on its own. The place is very clean, beds are comfly and rooms have big showers.
