Single purpose location
The Hotel Jaguar Inn Tikal is solely for visiting the nearby Mayan ruins. They don't have many facilities for guests other than a restaurant. If you came all this way see Tikal, I HIGHLY recommend sleeping on site. It will give you time to get the most out of your visit: You can explore and rest and go out again. Jauguar Inn is in my opinion your best option. Its the cheapest while also giving the most value. Electricity 24/7 is something even the pricier hotels and its crucial because you want your fan to be on at night and for a midday nap after you woke up at 3:30 for the sunrise tour. Service was perfect and breakfest options at the restaurant were really good

Wonderful stay in the jungle
The rooms are simple, as expected for accommodations inside a jungle reserve, but clean. The staff is fantastic and accommodating. The restaurant is the best we had in the country. Staying here is the perfect way to have a more relaxed schedule to visit tikal, especially to get there early for the peaceful hours without getting up at 2 or 3am!
