I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Although it looked a little run-down from the outside, the rooms themselves were actually quite nice, so I initially had a positive impression. However, things quickly went downhill. After checking in, I waited in my car for my partner. The owner and another male staff member approached my car to ask if I was staying at the hotel, even though the staff member with him was the same person who had checked me in. It was a strange and uncomfortable interaction. The following morning, at around 8:00 a.m., someone entered our room without knocking or announcing themselves. This was a major breach of privacy and made us feel very uncomfortable. I told the staff about it and they asked me if it was a man with glasses on even though I have not told him that it was a man. The owner is the person who I think they believed it was who had entered my room without knocking, which I think it was him as well they were acting very strange towards me from the get go. I am a young female. This isn't how to approach someone, especially when the area is dodgy so dodgy, which is why I locked the door in the first place so I'm unsure as to how he got in there in the first place. We decided to stay another night, but the problems continued. The TV in our room didn't work, so we were moved to another room, only to find it was already occupied. We were then given a third room, but the key card didn't work. To make matters worse, I realised I had left my speaker in our original room. I repeatedly asked reception to check for it and was given conflicting information. At first, they said they had found it, then they couldn't find it. After waiting in the car park for around an hour and a half, I called reception instead of going back in again. I was then told they had found it and that I just needed to wait another 10 minutes because the cleaner had accidentally taken it home in her bag. By the time it was returned to me, the logo had been ripped off and it had clearly been damaged.
