I actually made a last-minute reservation arrangement to book Holiday Inn Express West as there is very few good hotel units in Kunming. I had certainly made a right choice to choose Holiday Inn express as the staff service was brilliant and helpful as we arrived at late evening night to Kunming. The front desk helps us to look out for a hotpot restaurant that open until late hour and help to arrange and communicate with the taxi drive to ensure we reached the right location. The hotel room are cleaned everyday, it came with self-laundry service at the ground floor equipped with washing machine and dryer machine separately. Everyday, a welcome drink was placed at the lobby to ensure guest can quench their thirst once returned from outing tour. There is a metro station nearby the hotel which was not updated in the hotel map. The Metro station is only a 15 min walk and you can check-out the station 梁家和,Line 3. From Kunming Railway station to Holiday Inn, there is MRT linked between both stations. Our overall experience was brilliant, and I fully recommended this hotel when you choose Kunming city.

Short stay
Enjoyed the short stay with family, but didn't realise there was no room service available. It meet our basic needs and was clean and nice. Would recommend to solo travellers and not with kids and family .

Decent for solo travellers
not really suitable for families and young children has no in room dining. But it doesn have plenty of food around the hotel. Breakfast was pretty good :)

Comfortable stay, Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff likewise friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
