Ok but not worth it
My partner and I at first had a good impression of this place. It seemed like a nice way to spend the night between flying in to Trat and going to Koh Mak. But the hotel owner told us he'd drive us to the pier for 100 Baht - only to demand 1,000 once we arrived! Ten times more! Was quite a horrible dispute. We thought it would be worth spending the night in Trat rather than taking the bus from Bangkok. But looking back, we were fleeced 600 Baht just to take a 15 minute drive from the airport only to get fleeced another 1000 baht for the ride to the pier. More than 50$ for our "restful" layover in Trat. I can't recommend this layover. Next time I'd take the Boonsiri bus and ferry package from Bangkok and just pass through Trat. I recommend others do the same.

Ok for one night
Just ok if you need to catch the ferry the day after There’s no real beach in front and nothing around, you definitely need a car or motorbike if you want to go out

Perfect stay
We absolutely loved our stay at Red Beach! The rooms are modern, the view is great, the breakfast is delicious & the owners are lovely. They even drove us to the ferry pier in the morning! Thank you!

Great location - hidden gem
This was just a stop over for us on the way to Koh Chang so we weren't expecting much but the hotel is so nice. The view and breakfast delivery were great and the room was spotless!
