The entire area is pleasant to explore and carefully decorated. Not only is there plenty to do within the homestay, there's also rice fields, mount Merapi, and warungs surrounding this hidden gem. Arya went above and beyond to make our stay lovely and he has very cute chickens you can play with. Would definitely recommend for anyone seeking a more unique Yogyakarta experience.

The universe diverged my original plans so that I could find a slice of paradise at Omah Kepel. My stay here was the best time of my trip, it is peaceful, tastefully decorated and an authentic experience to live like the kampung days. Arya and Debbie are welcoming hosts who treated me like family, they are warm, kind and built the most wonderful place! The rooms are full of character and super cozy, and to wake up to chickens roosting is a very comforting feeling There are tours for hiking or free bicycles for use, the village is great to get views of Mount Merapi and I love going to look at it every morning! If you appreciate slow living, seek the basic pleasures of life and embrace it all in its natural beauty, this is the place for you to experience that!

Yang paling saya suka menginap disini spt rumah sendiri. Makna utk rehat dari kepenatan ya ada disini. - bapak owner ramahh banget berasa dah kenal lama saat ngobrol ( sampe lupa nanya nama 😄 ) - mas dayat yg sat set melayani juga ramahhhh - kita masak mie pake kayu bakarrr. - tidur bisa nemplok mana aja karena ada bbrp bale bale hahahah - sangat rekomen buat yg emang cari tempat utk rehat dengan konsep kembali ke alam - pengen kesini lagi asli 🥰🥰🥰 - sukses buat bapak owner yaaa

We had a wonderful two-night getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location was easy to reach, the accommodations were good, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The view was beautiful, surrounded by coconut trees and rice fields, and we could see Mount Merapi. It was also close to restaurants and grocery stores if needed. Thanks Omah Kepel.

Suasana sejuk pedesaan lengkap dengan gemericik air jernih di saluran irigasi maupun mata air alami ditambah hijaunya persawahan membuat ingatan kembali ke masa kecil di rumah nenek di desa. Pemandang ke puncak gunung Merapi dipagi hari menambah keindahan alam. Kabin tempat menginap lengkap dengan kamar mandi bernuansa kayu dan alami cukup menjadi tempat rehat sejenak. Rekomen untuk siapa saja yang rindu kampung halaman.
