There are pros and cons of the hotel. Pros - New hotel - big and clean room - connecting room set up is great (there's a front door accessing 2 rooms, just close the front door and you'll have 2 rooms by ourselves) - Great view if you are at high floor Cons - The lift access is nightmare, there are only 4 lifts sharing among so many rooms in the hotels, waiting for lift was the worst experience ever - to the extend we rather walk down the staircase from level 37 to level 3A in order to grab our breakfast. - we got 2 rooms, 1 of the room having a leaking faucet and the bathroom floor is always wet. - they only limit to 2 bath towels per room, any additional towels will be charged RM10 per towel. When I booked the room, I have already indicated 2 adults and 2 children and yet only 2 towels are given. - no hand towels in Bathroom Seriously, for a cost of almost RM500 paid per room, I could never expect such quality. Staff are overall good people. Thanks to the front desk and the security abang who operate the lifts. Sorry that I have to make complaint to the front desk on the problem with the lift (waited 30min and couldn't get into the lift, coz the lift is small and always filled with people), so the front desk arranged a service lift to pick us from our floor, otherwise I'm not sure what time we could check-out if the hotel. - the Shore hotel is sharing the same breakfast venue with the Swiss Hotel. Therefore the access to the breakfast venue is confusing and you could get lost going there or leaving the place. Yes, we lost our way ended in the Swiss Hotel. Overall, not a hotel which worth returning.

The price is ok. The room is huge with balcony. Have a sofa bed as well. Can fit a family of five. The toilet is huge as well but the toilet's wall is see through so not suitable with a lot of people inside the room. And it does not have a lock. The room also include iron and hair dryer. The breakfast is just ok. The location is good walking distance to tourist attraction. I dont like the lift though

Positive: 1. Good variety of food 2. Kids swimming pool 3. Room size 4. Staff are helpful Negative: 1. Lift.. Its very hard to get lift during the peak time.. Our family used staircase to come down from 15th floor. 2. Inside room have phone. But no directory. Cant even use to contact reception. I pressed "0" but doesn't work.

This will be the first and only time my family and I will be staying at this place. We originally got a room in the residences, but were informed that there was no Wi-Fi, which is shocking to say the least in today's day and age. The staff were very patient in explaining to us that they do not have Wi-Fi provided in the residences, but we found on the property details section of Agoda that there would be Wi-Fi, which we hope that The Shore will correct and raise with Agoda to ensure the website reflects such information accurately to avoid misleading future guests. We were willing to pay extra to get Wi-Fi but they didn't even have the modems or anything set up so there was absolutely no way for us to get any Wi-Fi. Fortunately, the staff was kind enough to offer us a free upgrade to the hotel side where there would be free Wi-Fi. That said, the lift engineering and logic left us very much wanting. If you need to use the lift at peak periods, e.g., check-in, check-out, breakfast, lunch, dinner, be prepared for waiting times of longer than 15mins, which is honestly quite ridiculous. Aside from guests, even the hotel's own service staff like housekeeping and restaurant staff are often stuck waiting for an empty lift for ages alongside the hotel guests. Truly not a good experience. We were kept waiting for so long (over 45mins) when we wanted to check out, and had to call the front desk to get security to use the lift's "special service" where it basically would only go to specific floors and skip everything else in between, otherwise who knows how long we would've been waiting for. If you think waiting for a lift can't be that bad, trust me, it is bad. We would press the lift buttons for both up and down directions because priority was getting into a lift regardless of which direction it moved in since you could just "bounce" once it reached the top or bottom to get to the floor you wanted. Also the lift would inevitably stop at almost every single floor because everyone is trying to get on. It also took me 20mins to go down from my room to pick up my sister from the gym and then go back up again, and this was during off-peak hours. Absolutely horrible. I could write a whole novel on how much agony the lift logic and engineering caused and this certainly needs to be relooked, not just for guests but for the sanity of the operational staff working at the accoms. That said, huge shout out to the reception staff Syafinaz who was really helpful and offered the free upgrade to deal with our Wi-Fi woes. Service recovery was speedy and great. She did warn us about the lift problems before offering this new room to us, and we underestimated just how bad the lifts would be, so that was on us. Also massive kudos to the security guy running the lifts because surely it must not be easy dealing with all these disgruntled guests. All in all, poor hotel facilities. The great and patient staff deserve better.
