YHA 그램피언스 에코 홀스 갭

Around a 10-15 min walk or quick drive into the centre of Halls Gap. The lounge areas and kitchen facilities are very nice, kept clean and comfortable. I stayed in a private room and shared bathroom. Comfortable and well appointed. Staff are on site a few hours of the day for check-in 3pm-6pm and in the mornings for those checking-out, however you can download the YHA Explorer App for convenient mobile check-in from 3pm. As the reception is only staffed several hours of the day, there's no secure place to store baggage if you arrive early, so that would be the one thing I'd take into account if I had a lot of luggage.

Amazing location, super close to hiking trails, with great amenities and very clean facilities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The only downside was our experience at checkout. We were accidentally locked out of our room while gathering our belongings and asked to be let back in, as we were only about 7 minutes past the checkout time. Unfortunately, the response felt unnecessarily harsh and unwelcoming. A little more understanding in that situation would have gone a long way. Aside from that experience, the property itself was lovely.

The place is old but clean, hot showers with good water pressure and plenty of common room and kitchen space

stayed three nights at the hostel and had a pleasant experience. The staff on duty were friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to provide multiple options and suggestions when needed. One area for improvement would be the kitchen kettle, which needs cleaning as the bottom was rusty.
