The Good - Great Location. Wonderful water pressure in the bathroom. Very friendly staff. The Bad - You can hear the subway running under the hotel from the 2nd floor. The Dirty - There are serious design flaws with one of the rooms where you walk through the bathroom to get to your bed. Just think about how dirty your shoes are and you walk through that area barefoot. There is also no shelving to place any personal items in the bathroom. The Annoying - You are serving international customers so why are there no international channels? The TV should have access to Youtube then.

Stayed for a week at the start of the Olympics. Never stayed in this area before, hip and young , less expensive stores and some good restaurants ( Bullion is a MUST!) and bakeries. One by the hotel-long line every morning.. Very close to 2 metro lines. Front desk was helpful and friendly ( especially the long hair lady-apologize for not remembering her name). She found us a quiet room since there was a construction next door , and though it was smaller than our original room it was lovely with beautiful good size bathroom, and very comfortable bed. A/C was a blessing ,quiet and efficient, as well as the coffee machine and tea kettle. Our room was meticulously cleaned daily. Breakfast was good with coffee, tea, and the same pastries , yogurt, egg dish, cheese and some cold cuts every morning I just wish there was a slight variety during the week ; (Oddly they were not able to provide black tea despite my many requests so I just went and got a box at the store) Regardless it was a great start for the day and the ladies at the breakfast room/ lobby were super nice. I would recommend this hotel for it's great value, and the chance to explore a different neighborhood in Paris

The location of the hotel is pretty good, located near Oberkampf or République metro to bring you to many places. Staff are generally helpful and friendly as well. However there is only 1 lift to serve the whole hotel, and we are unfortunately impacted for all the days we are there when the lift broke down. We had to carry our luggage up and down 4 floors, and all by ourselves with no help or assistance. Breakfast does not have much varieties but good enough to start the day. I would recommend it for its convenience and rather peaceful surroundings, but if you want a true holiday and hotel experience, probably wiser to spend a bit more and stay in a slightly higher end hotel.

Great location and a decent hotel overall. However, there are building works next door, and from around 8am each morning the drilling starts. It’s very loud and made it difficult for us to sleep, which was quite frustrating. Something to consider before booking.
