Hotel Kempense Meren by Sunparks

Title: Very Disappointing Stay – Room 24 & 25 at Sunparks Kempense Meren Review: We booked two twin rooms through Agoda, especially because we were traveling with underage children and needed appropriate space and comfort. Unfortunately, our experience at Sunparks Kempense Meren was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the receptionist told us someone would come to open the connecting door between the rooms — but when the security personnel arrived, there was no door at all. We were basically left with two completely separate rooms, which was not what we booked or expected. Room 24 had no working air conditioning — the entire climate control system was completely non-functional. Even worse, the shower head detached mid-shower, which was both frustrating and unsafe. The toilet smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which was disturbing, especially for a family with kids. We had to ask security to spray the bathroom to make it bearable. The Wi-Fi was nearly useless — we couldn’t get a proper signal in either room, and there were no clear instructions on how to use it. Honestly, we don’t understand why we were treated like this. We paid for a comfortable stay through Agoda and expected basic functionality and hygiene, especially in a family resort. We hope this review helps others and that the hotel takes it seriously.
