SKYE Texas Hill Country Resort lives up to its name and advertisements. My sister and I stayed here for one night in the standard cabin, which was a perfectly furnished and clean tiny home facing one of the three ponds on their property. Beautifully peaceful and serene, it's only 20 minutes away from downtown Fredericksburg but remote enough that you get a full hill country experience with rolling hills and clear skies. The deer on the property are a delight to see, and they gather everyday in front of the shared lounge area so you're guaranteed to see them. The swimming pool and sports courts are nice and well-maintained, and the staff is extremely nice and friendly. There is a jacuzzi-type area for relaxation as well, and the hours are perfect to enjoy the amenities. There is a vineyard on site for those who like to partake in the Texas wine-country scene, and snacks available in the reception area. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to experience the serenity of Texas hill country without leaving the comforts of modern amenities behind.
