When I arrived I confirmed the check in and check out times that was advertised and he said NO. I showed him the advertisement and what it said and he said I got to take that up with the company I made the reservation with.

Micheal was a great guy to work with @ the front desk, I booked online with Expedia & had a hiccup the first day but he was more than patient & willing to help

This is my favorite hotel in north/central Florida! The amenities and every design detail is stunning, while also still being family (and dog) friendly. Loved the resort style pool- it was all shallow and also had a fenced in splash pad, which was great for kids! Being there and on the WEC property makes you feel like you’re truly away and forget your problems!

This was my second stay at The Riding Academy with my daughter . There’s lots to love about this hotel! You don’t need to be an equestrian to feel at home here and it’s not just for families. Most of the people staying whom I met during this stay were at the World Equestrian Center for an athletic competition - riding, swimming, soccer. But some, like me, were parents who lived in Central FL and wanted to bring their kids someplace fun, which this is. For starters, because horse people are usually dog people as well, dogs are allowed and encouraged at this hotel. We even saw a young equestrian in the hotel market with her Great Dane! That is so much fun for children to see. I’ve stayed there with my dog as well in the past and was offered free fancy dog treats by the front desk staff. The children are also offered treats at check in - popsicles! But you can walk up and ask for more at any point during your stay. The hotel staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, is friendly and calm. They have a wealth of knowledge as well about what’s happening on the WEC campus if you have any questions. We arrived well before check in because we spent the morning at the WEC Christmas in July craft fair, watching an amateur horse jumping competition and meeting the Happy Feet soccer league for toddlers. We were allowed to use the pool while we waited and the pool is awesome! There is also a splash pad with a large astroturf section next to it so it was safe for children to play and stretch out. We grabbed some snacks and water from the market and had a little picnic in between play time. Later that evening, the hotel played Moana poolside. There was also foozeball, ping pong, and corn hole set up near the pool and live music on Saturday which made the atmosphere feel truly relaxing and fun. The rooms are very clean and modern. They are also equipped with good quality coffee and refrigerators in the rooms. Pack in Plays are on hand for no additional charge - just ask the front desk. The Marketplace has really decent essentials and a window that opens poolside. There are several restaurants a short walk away in a building called The Manor but if you aren’t into walking there are golf carts all over campus that you can rent using your smart phone. The hotel staff can also arrange one for you. The best part is that I paid $*** for my one night stay and if you time it right, you can easily find that price.

If you’re looking for a Florida getaway that’s a little off the beaten path, put the Riding Academy Hotel at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala on your list. What a hidden gem. We spent two nights there and were so impressed. The entire property is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has such a relaxing, upscale feel without feeling pretentious. Every staff member we met was genuinely kind and welcoming, the restaurants were excellent, and the pool was the perfect way to unwind after exploring the grounds. One of the things we appreciated most was how pet-friendly the property is, making it easy to bring our furry family member along for the adventure. You definitely don’t have to be into horses to enjoy this place. Whether you’re looking for a weekend escape, a staycation, or just somewhere different to experience, this place is absolutely worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back.
