One of the best places I have encountered so far at Kabini Backwaters, H.D Kote Taluk, Karnataka.. My kind host Mr. Amit Joshi and his team have been extremely helpful and have made my stay here a most memorable experience. Kudos to the Cook for making good homely food and Mr. Kanta, the person in - charge at the lodge for attending to all my needs in a most professional manner. Will surely visit this location again soon! Hoping to stay again at Room No. 1 - Aura overlooking the Kabini Backwaters! A perfect scenic view and a beautiful getaway experience! Great location. Good rooms. Friendly staff. This place has a lot of potential. Requires fixing of wifi (had no wifi for the entire stay) and electricity( power outage from 5am in the morning to 11am) We left for safari at 5:10 and returned by 1030 , when we came back the electricity was still not fixed. Later, the staff called someone and asked to turn on the electricity ( I don’t know if they turned it off ?? ) My stay was only for one night so It didn’t matter but definitely if an international who requires wifi will be affected if that is your only source to keep yourself connected with the safari representative. Food is excellent and so is staff.

We had an awesome stay for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful and always ready to help. Just a few tips, adding a bit more room facilities and improving the food taste a bit, would make it worthwhile to stay here.

The property is well maintained, it is right on the river. The staff is very polite. The room was good for a solo traveller and I believe it is sufficient for 2 adults. The veg food was good; morning breakfast had minimum choices but they gave good quantity and taste was also good. I think they have fixed menu - so better to check if you want to eat something specific whether they can make it or not for both lunch and dinner. Reachability to the property is also okay, the last stretch is village road which is not that great; but it is okay for any car to reach the property and there is enough parking space.

The price for the resort is worth it. The staff were amazing. The food was good. Overall it was an amazing experience for me.
