We have stayed at Churchills since May 2022 but from being very impressed the first time we stayed it he rooms we have been given have all been unexceptional. The fact that we only paid for a basic room does not forgive the fact there is no drinking water and tumblers provided in the rooms . The previous room had only one bedside table for a couple staying in a double bed! No bedside lights and very worn out towels with holes in them. This time we were unable to get warm as the radiator wasn’t working and the plug in the sink was stuck and when we asked at 11.30 at night for help we weee told it would be morning before any help. The duvet felt like a summer thickness so a bad nights sleep all around . To add insult to injury I received a telephone call from the owner after 9.00 the next morning , we were already checked out and eating breakfast in a nearby pub. too little compensation and too late as the title says we won’t be back.
