Loved the amenities, the rooms, the restaurant the cleaning staff and waiting staff at Ayadina restaurant. The front desk staff lacked grace you find elsewhere in Egypt's fine hotels. We travel a lot, I was surprised by how they treat their guests as if they are going to commit a foul or infraction. We did not have small children running around or played loud music. we were a mere family of 4 trying to enjoy Marassi. But the way they exuded anxiety over access cards, beach towels and other perks made us feel micro managed as if we are at a summer camp or boarding school. At the end they would not let us check out and leave hotel before going up to inspect all the rooms. Who still does that? They have our credit card on file. Instruction from the top needs to be altered to jive with how fine this establishment is. Its not a road side motel and staff should act accordingly. Marassi is beautiful but it too is oppressive, check points everywhere trying to get from one side to the other is an ordeal, you have to constantly show your reservation and questions.. That too is over managed and does not give the guest a nice fluid experience. Based on that we may try something else next year where we are not made to feel that we are committing infractions simply by walking around.

Nice hotel with access to Marassi clubhouse beach. Need to improve entertainment facilities, billiards, bing bong.. etc.

The problem with the Egyptian’s they don’t travel anywhere so they don’t know how to handle tourist and they don’t know what are the basic aspects for a tourist, plus they don’t know how to promote their potential, Question to minister of tourism: have you heard about something called TripAdvisor???
