A beautiful quiet and a warm stay hidden near auroville , great for people who would like to explore auroville but is a 30mins ride to pondicherry and would recommend having a private vehicle since it's in the interiors of the village. Overall a great stay and friendly staff !

Our stay at Sengal Boutique Hotel was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that it instantly set the tone for the entire experience. The rooms and courtyard spaces are beautifully designed - clean, calm, and thoughtfully done, with that perfect boutique vibe where everything feels intentional and serene. It’s the kind of place where you actually pause and relax, instead of just sleeping and rushing out. Now let’s talk about the food, because wow! The complimentary breakfast was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with so much care. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve, and it shows on the plate. A special shoutout to the chef, who took such visible pride in South Indian food and culture, and lovingly introduced my American partner to multiple varieties of authentic dishes. But what truly made the stay special was the staff and service. Everyone was kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile (not the forced hotel smile, but the genuinely nice-human kind). They were thoughtful, responsive, and made us feel truly taken care of without ever being intrusive. Sengal strikes that rare balance of peaceful, comfortable, and personal. We left feeling refreshed, happy and wishing to stay a day longer. Highly recommended!

Though the stay is as shown in the pictures cute, good architecture , sustainable and garden well maintained.. the location is inside a village and the 1/2km stretch road to the resort in very narrow. As it’s a village from morning 5am it gets very noisy, loud music played from near by temples. However the stay was clean n well maintained. The buffet breakfast was decent.

Loved the stay, the bedrooms were too clean, would rate the entire experience 11/10. The breakfast was good, the staff were very helpful. The location was a bit far, but other than that this is a stay I would recommend everyone to try atleast once if they visit Pondicherry!

Absolutely amazing experience at this hotel! The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. From check-in to check-out, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The attention to detail and warm smiles made all the difference.
