We stayed at Mariden Resort & Homestay during the last part of our Siargao trip and it turned out to be a very practical and relaxing choice, especially because of its close proximity to the airport. The resort offers airport transfers via tuktuk for only ₱200 per trip, which was very convenient for our early flight. The property is beautifully surrounded by nature, nestled at the foot of the mountain with lush vegetation all around, giving the place a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the beds were incredibly comfortable thanks to the soft mattress toppers. The huge pool was also a great bonus for relaxing after island activities. The staff deserve special mention for being very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. WiFi signal was strong during most of the time, although there were occasional interruptions due to power issues since the resort mostly runs on solar energy. There’s also a small sari-sari store inside the resort where you can buy basic necessities, which was very convenient. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited, but the servings are generous and affordable. One thing future guests should note is that the resort attracts many day-use and night-use group visitors, so evenings can get lively with conversations and videoke sessions. Thankfully, the management observes curfew hours, so the noise settles down in time for sleeping. Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for a nature-filled and budget-friendly stay near the airport while still enjoying the laid-back Siargao vibe.

Cozy, Clean, and Perfect for Early Flights

Great pool but food poisoning
It is in the middle of gorgeous scenery and near to the airport. The pool is cool by Filipinos standards but huge and full of happy children. However both us of ate here last night and we both fell sick with vomiting and diarrhoea. Reading the reviews we are not the first
