Mollie's Oxford

This was our second visit to Mollie’s Motel in Oxford, having first stayed in September 2025. We were so impressed the first time that we were really looking forward to returning—the location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and the diner has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, our second experience didn’t quite live up to our initial visit. In the diner, the glasses we were given were visibly dirty, and the water bottle contained bits of food floating in the water, showing this had not been cleaned correctly. which was disappointing. Our order was also incorrect—we received a beer instead of a peach tea. That said, we raised these issues with a member of staff, and the waitress who assisted us was very apologetic and resolved everything promptly, which we appreciated. The food itself was enjoyable, but the issues with cleanliness did make us feel slightly uneasy during the meal. Overall, despite this experience, it’s still a lovely place to stay, and we hope this was just a one-off issue. However, we would emphasise that improvements in cleanliness and food hygiene standards in the diner are essential, otherwise it would put us off returning in the future.

Great hotel, rooms are a good size, the main bits where great, the bed amazing, shower amazing, and room super clean, the little bits that the noticed, no room to put clothes away, 4 hangers and 2 small shelves for all your clothes, not good for 2 people, also no kettle in room, they have 1 hot tap in the corridor for drinks, not great when you wake up in the morning and have to walk down the corridor for a coffee.(these are very minor things) and t i would defiantly stay again .

Modern hotel with a great diner on site; comfortable beds and pillows; convenient that zip tap was opposite room for cold and hot water

We had an overnight stay at Mollie’s to combine with a trip to Oxford and to see ‘Waitress’ at the theatre. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the reception area was very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, very informative about the room and booking the Diner and also how to get the Park & Ride the next day. Thank you , we really appreciated it and it was so easy! I loved the Cow Shed products in the rain forest shower and room. Dyson hair dryer and GHD straigheners made it very well equipped. And the tea and coffee bags , just perfect. We feel like we have had the full diner/ motel and Waitress themed experience!
