It's a nice hotel with a lovely spa. The room was reasonable and the food in the restaurant good. Staff were good too. However, on Agoda website it states parking is included and they refused to honour this at reception despite showing them on the website, twice. That was annoying. Even more annoying, on purchasing a bottle of white wine with dinner costing nearly £40 was refused an ice bucket as there was a wine tasting session going on - so basically we were told that we were not as important as the visitors for this despite the fact we were hotel guests. The staff were not to blame for this - our waiter tried to get an ice bucket but was told we couldn't have one and was apologetic but it made us feel that our custom was not appreciated. Finally, we were told that we'd have to eat in the lounge area due to the wine tasting - this is not a welcoming area and inappropriate for eating. Fortunately they changed this as the turn out for wine tasting was poor so we were allowed to use the restaurant. All in all very disappointing as was clear we were not really valued as guests. Am not sure if we would return.

My stay at this hotel for a special 29-year reunion was an absolute disaster. From start to finish, this property fails on cleanliness, management, and basic guest care. Room Condition: My top-floor room in the main building was tired, poorly maintained, and smelled strange on arrival — I can only guess what it was. Cobwebs and dust covered the ceiling beams. Armchair was noticeably stained, bottom sheet barely tucked, bathroom blind had mould, heated towel rail had rust, and plug hole was stained. There was a squashed dead insect above the bed — praying it wouldn’t fall on me while I slept. Tiles in the bathroom window area were black with mildew. Coffee and tea station was welcome, but it did not compensate for the rest. Hygiene and Smells: Corridor outside my room had a strong hint of marijuana. After dinner, the stench from the kitchen area was almost overpowering. The entire room and bathroom clearly needed a deep clean. Car Parking Fiasco: I coordinated the hotel’s promise of free parking for our group and submitted all registrations as instructed. Despite written confirmation from the Operations Manager, multiple parking tickets were issued. The hotel repeatedly refused to take responsibility or correct their admin errors, wasting hours of my time and causing immense stress. Overall Experience: General cleanliness were below standard. The hotel management’s attitude was dismissive, with zero accountability for their errors. This hotel is unsuitable for any special occasion or group bookings. Only Positive: The young waiter, Taren, and the bar staff were attentive and friendly — they deserve recognition. I deeply regret trusting this hotel for a milestone reunion. It was an enormous stress and disappointment. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to avoid it entirely.
