the pool was down for repairs. washer in the laundry room was in-op, and the room had a decent amount of damage, few burnt out lights and bathroom fan didn't work. the staff was amazing, gave great recommendations for local things to do and restaurants. good value at this price point but certainly room for improvement. the peer, location and wonderful staff made the stay very enjoyable though.

My family and I checked into room 109 and immediately saw the room was filthy. I will mention we requested a room on the first floor due to my husband having bad knees and he's in pain when going up the stairs. Upon entering, we saw there were dead bugs all over the floor that you could tell we're there a long time from a lack of cleaning. There were live roaches on the bed. I took my shoes off once I was inside the door and walked to the bathroom area and I felt a sharp excruciating pain in my foot and after looking at it, I saw I had a piece of glass lodged in my foot. My husband further inspected and there was broken glass all over the room. He went to the front desk and they gave him a broom/dustpan. I'm grateful that it was me that stepped on the glass instead of my toddler. We had to clean the floor ourselves. They moved us to another room on the second floor (***) since they had no more on the 1st floor, which was problematic due to my husband's physical condition, but what choice did we have? The new room was just as dirty with dead bugs everywhere, minus the broken glass. Morning came and we were sleeping. Housekeeping rudely came in our room and woke us up and said management wanted to know if anyone was in here, basically scolding us for being in the room. My husband told housekeeping that we were moved the previous night and let them know we needed the floors cleaned because they were filthy and towels. They said they'll get to it later when they clean the rooms. We went back to sleep, then the front desk called the motel phone in our room and basically wanted an explanation of why we were in ***. I informed them of the situation and they said no one changed it in the system. I mentioned what had occurred and they said they'd get management to call us back. No one bothered to contact us. My husband stopped by the front desk twice to let them know to call my phone whenever management would reach out to us and left my phone number just in case. No one ever came to clean our room and no contact was made. I got a wet towel and ran it over the floor in the new room to clear the dead bugs, sand and debris and the towel got so dirty it was black. The guy that came to our room the first night to show us to our new room said since they're deporting illegals that the housekeeping has been subpar and they have employee retention issues. I have multiple cuts on my feet from broken glass and that's entirely unacceptable for ANY establishment. It's been painful going to the beach with fresh cuts so I had to stay out of the water. For your own safety and for sanitary reasons, stay away from this establishment. Everything was broken. Hair dryer, door security, microwave handle and the bathroom door could only be half opened. The towels were not clean, pillows stinked, a box of leftover was left in the fridge and there was a bunch of hair stuck on the bathroom wall.
