Hot Water ran out on 1 night , heating was lukewarm and unable to heat room and bathroom making for a chilly experience. Bought a plug in heater for my other 3 nights stay , it was needed!

This is a place with revolving management and none have updated the rooms or public areas. The website is a lie, and no idea which room is shown on the cover image of this Agoda webpage. There is no evening food as apparently no bar licence, but then equally no chef. The breakfast is nice, cereal, toast, crumpets, yogurts and croissants, with tea/coffee/juice. The reception staff member organises and tidies up the breakfast, which is hosted in an old part of the building and they do have some historical information about the property. Rooms are in the outbuildings and some back onto the road behind. Heating is poor, and hot water boiler comes on at 4pm, but the temperature is still tepid at 5.30pm. It was thankfully hot at 6am. Furniture is old, carpets are loose, and in places shelves etc are not secured correctly, but my room was clean and had all I needed. TV has lots of channels. Not suitable for those with accessibility needs, no grab rails in bathrooms, and those for the towel are not strong enough for full weight bearing. I did get this room on offer for about *** rather than the usual *** and for the lower limit, the room and hotel is adequate. For anything more, it certainly isnt' and the new owners need to think about customer experience rather than just cutting costs! There is nothing else in this village so travel for food is needed, though staff have provided a list of those who can deliver or places to visit. Both staff members I met were lovely, and couldn't do enough for me, one even helping over the busy road to the carpark the next morning. Possibly would stay again, but only at the *** rate, and if the *** or *** were at their higher cost levels!

New owner took over 5 months ago, the place is dilapidated, no dining facilities as restaurant closed for renovation. Room 15 allocated to us was nothing like Agoda pictures. Access was via outbuilding door to stairs with dirty carpet, furnishings in room 15 were old and the room smelt damp and room appeared to need a good clean. We did not stay and have requested a refund from Agoda as the advertised information does not reflect reality, and the facilities listed were not available.
