The staff was welcoming as we reached there by auto rickshaw. Sorry to say that they didn’t provide us the welcome drinks 🤣. I am not disappointed for that. The main thing is who are attending us he was also not welcoming. Room and pool are okay. There is restaurant in the hotel premises we ate dinner at that restaurant which was the worst experience. Food tastes so bad and they severed chicken which was not fresh . When we complained they just ignored it. I don’t think it’s worth it to stay there and pay that much money.

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ **Disappointing Experience — Not the Grand Sultan I Remember** I have stayed at Grand Sultan Tea Resort & Golf before and always considered it one of the better luxury resorts in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, my recent experience was quite disappointing, and I feel the overall standard has noticeably declined compared to my previous stays. The most concerning issue was **room cleanliness and housekeeping**. The tea/coffee cup set provided in my room was visibly **stained and appeared to have been previously used without being properly cleaned**. I have attached photos for reference. The area underneath the bath mat was also very dirty and clearly had not been cleaned properly. These are basic housekeeping standards that I simply would not expect from a property positioning itself as a five-star resort. The **food quality was another major disappointment**, particularly the breakfast. Compared with my previous experiences, the breakfast menu and overall quality have deteriorated noticeably. Some of the dishes did not feel up to the standard I would expect from Grand Sultan. Even the **Nasi Goreng**, which should be a signature-style dish, was not what I would expect from an authentic preparation. Another dish was served with what appeared to be **peanut butter on top of the chicken rather than actual peanuts**, which was quite strange and disappointing. There were also some smaller details that may seem insignificant individually but make a difference to the overall experience. I noticed that **artificial/plastic flowers are now being used instead of fresh flowers as before**. For a five-star property, these little touches matter because they contribute to the sense of luxury and attention to detail. To be fair, the resort still has a beautiful location, spacious property and a peaceful environment. However, **a five-star experience is about much more than the building and surroundings**. Cleanliness, food quality, presentation, attention to detail and consistency are equally important. Sadly, my recent stay did not live up to the standard I had experienced from Grand Sultan in the past. **It feels like the resort has lost some of the attention to detail that previously made it special.** I sincerely hope the management takes these observations seriously and works to restore the standards that made Grand Sultan worth recommending in the first place. **Overall: disappointing, particularly considering the five-star positioning and the standards I had experienced here before.**
